| 1. An invitation to the opening night gala of the song-and-dance |
| concert that wiill arouse all your senses! |
+------------------------------------------------------------------+
The International Chinese Performing Arts Festival proudly presents the
Opening Night Gala of Senses on Friday, July 8th at 8:00 p.m. at the
Toronto Centre for the Arts. Proceeds from the gala will be donated to
the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto for the building of
their Phase II project.
Senses is brought to you by the director of Terracotta Warriors. Its
theme is the celebration of the beauty, artistry, and striking
qualities of modern Chinese womanhood. Without discarding the hallmarks
of Chinese tradition and history, Senses also incorporates a new style
and attitude of contemporary Chinese women through a unique form of
Chinese stage art. Sexy, sensuous, and stylishly beautiful in an
exclusively Chinese manner, the cast of Senses offers an interesting
comparison to Western performing artists. The common notion that
Chinese art is old fashioned will be forgotten when audiences
experience this refreshing show of unparalleled beauty and daring
sensuality.
The July 8th Opening Night Gala will feature two singers (a tenor and a
soprano Chinese folk singer), nine female musicians, a pair of dancers
and six accompanying dancers. The headlining female dancer is the
talented TANG Jia Li, who is famous for her dancing agility and
dramatic beauty. The show also includes other great dancers, such as
Chinese supermodel Ada Ying ZHANG and premiere classical dancer Nancy
LUI. Together with uniquely orchestrated music and the fusion of
Eastern and Western principles, Senses presents a distinctively styled
display of Chinese tradition as well as a new grace and attitude of
contemporary Chinese women for the world to admire. The audience can
expect a night of stimulating visuals and sound.
The July 8th Opening Night Gala tickets are available only at the CCC.
For ticket purchase or any questions, please contact Ms. Lillian Fung
at 416-292-9293 Ext. 240. Ticket prices are as follows: $100 (VIP),
$57, $49, $43 and $38.
We offer you the unique opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause, so
don't hesitate to reserve your tickets now. Be sure to invite all your
friends to experience the show of the year that will truly arouse all
your senses!
